Angela & Jackie Visit London!

Our friend Angela, and her mom Jackie, were in England for a week and spent half of the time in London and half of their time visiting their family who lives outside of London.

We met Angela and Jackie Saturday morning for brunch in Notting Hill with Michelle and Alan. We then strolled through the Portobello Road Market encouraging Angela's 6 for 5 souvenir bargain purchases. After making our way through the market, we headed to the Churchill Arms for a break and pint. The Churchill Arms is a pub in South Kensingston area that is covered in fresh flowers.

After the pub, Angela and Jackie headed to the Kensingston Palace and we were off to meet back up with Michelle and Alan.

On Sunday, Angela and Jackie came to Hampstead and we continued our London pub tour. We met them at the Holly Bush, one of our favorite pubs, and sat outside as Sunday happened to be one of the nicest days we've had in London. After our pint, we wandered into the Heath and took in the view of the London skyline from Parliament Hill. After our walk, it was time for another pint!

Angela and Jackie were back in London the following Friday as their flight was out of Heathrow that Saturday morning. I met up with them Friday evening in Chelsea for the Chelsea v. Liverpool football match. We quickly discovered that the Chelsea fan base is very posh - everyone was in suits and their cheering technique was similar to a golf match. We were surrounded by Chelsea fans so we tried out best to fit in and not accidentally start cheering for Liverpool (as Shane instructed me to).
