Michelle & Alan Visit London!

Michelle and Alan planned a holiday in Italy and lucky for us, made a stop in London prior!

Michelle and Alan arrived Friday morning and set off to see the sites - London Eye, Big Ben, Parliament, Churchill War Rooms, Buckingham Palace; I'm always impressed how much people do/see right right off their transatlantic flights! After their day of sightseeing, we met up with them that evening for a proper pub dinner in Hampstead. Michelle and Alan enjoyed the local fare but passed on the mushy peas.

The next morning, we set off for Notting Hill to meet up with our friend Angela and her mom Jackie for brunch. Angela and Jackie were also visiting for the weekend!

After brunch we wandered the Portobello Road Market and Michelle & Alan set-off to tour the Tower of London and see St. Paul's. We met up with them after their tour at the oldest wine bar in London - Gordon's. The place was packed but luckily we were able to snag a table outside. After a couple bottles of wine, we headed to dinner. We opted for Indian and queued for Dishoom. While the queue might not have moved as fast as we would of liked, the meal made up for it. Dishoom never lets us down.

The next morning we went to our local neighborhood bakery for brunch and took a stroll to Primrose Hill so Michelle & Alan could have one final view of London. We loved having Michelle & Al in London - we just wished the weekend was longer!
