Jenn & Andrew Visit London!

Our friends from Dallas (originally from St. Louis) Jenn & Andrew, spent a few days in London for part of their European holiday and hung out with us for the weekend! Jenn & Andrew are London experts - they recommended the area that we live in - so it was fun to hang with them in the city that they know so well and love.

Jenn & Andrew arrived Saturday morning. Despite not getting much sleep on their flight, they were ready to set out and head for the city. We set out for Borough Market to grab some lunch. The food stands that we fancied had too long of queues so we opted to grab some Spanish tapas at a restaurant that sits above Borough Market. After our tapas, we walked. We headed west along the river crossing over at the Millennium Bridge and making our way towards Piccadilly as our next stop was afternoon tea. The walk helped us build our appetites back up so that we could enjoy the sandwiches, scones and desserts. After tea, we headed back towards our neighborhood, made a quick pit-stop at home to feed Martha and collect her before we headed to the pub.

One of our favorite pubs, the Holly Bush, sits tucked away atop a hill just off the Hampstead Village high street. The pub is cozy so was perfect for the misty, gray evening. After some snacks and drinks, we headed home so Jenn & Andrew could get a proper nights rest and be well adjusted for the remainder of their trip.

The next morning, we headed back up to Hampstead for brunch and strolled through Hampstead Heath. Martha joined us as well. Jenn & Andrew are parents to Martha's friend, Millie, so they welcomed Martha tagging along. Martha was sad to see them go later that afternoon.

Thanks for visiting Jenn & Andrew - we think you should move here :)
